Aimee Carrero Joins FXs THE AMERICANS

Here’s some casting news for you guys, Aimee Carrero joins FXs The Americans in a recurring role. Carrero has been known as a series regular of Cartoon Network’s live action show ‘Level Up’. Aimee will play the role of Chena, a head-strong yet smart Sandinista freedom fighter who “will go to any lengths to support her cause.”

Based from the casting details, season 2 of ‘The Americans’ will deal with the United States’ assistance of the Nicaraguan Contras during the 1980s. The details on how this is going to affect our favorite spy couple have not been divulged.

Our young newcomer will also be busy aside from her ‘The Americans’ gig. She has also been cast in ‘Young and Hungry’ a comedy pilot from ABC Family and CBS studios. Carrero will bring to life the role of Tessa, Gabi’s (Emily Osment) best friend. Tessa has been described as a determined banking intern who works hard to makes ends meet. If all goes well and the pilot is picked up, Carrero will be having a regular role in the series. This ABC Family and CBS Studios pilot is executively produced by Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Ashley Tisdale, and Jessica Rhoades.

The new addition to ‘The Americans’ Aimee was part of‘Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeaquel’. She also had guest appearances on ‘The Mentalist’, ‘Hanna Montana’, ‘Lincoln Heights’, ‘Men of a Certain Age’, ‘The Middle’, ‘Greek’ and ‘Zuke and Luther’.

Well, congratulations to Aimee Carrero for becoming a part of FX’s ‘The Americans’, we will be looking forward to her performances.

FX’s ‘The Americans’ are currently shooting and will air the 2nd season on January of 2014.
