The video shows the cast and the executive producers of critically acclaimed ‘The Americans’ in a panel discussion at the ATAS or Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles. Before the panel, the lucky people in attendance got to watch the early screening of ‘The Colonel’, ‘The Americans’ season 1 finale (the video above doesn’t show the finale, it cuts to the panel.)
Creator and executive producer Joe Weisberg was present, alongside his co-executive producer Joel Fields. Matthew Rhys (Phillip Jennings), Noah Emmerich (Stan Beeman), Margo Martindale (Claudia), and Annet Mahendru (Nina) was also part of the Panel.
The video is an hour long but a lot of interesting things were discussed. Some of the things include “pre-mature” slapping, the funky wigs that the show uses, Paige’s laundry room discoveries (?), and a lot more.
If you haven’t seen Matthew Rhys on any other show or movie, or any video as himself, warning, he is Welsh so you may be a bit surprised. Another surprise is, Matthew Rhys is actually funny, I didn’t see that coming.
If you’ve been following our website or if you read any related news about ‘The Americans’, you already know that Margo Martindale is involved in another show so we can’t be sure if we’ll see more of the totally badass “Claudia”. In the video, Margo voices her wanting to be still in the show. Well, I’m sure they’ll think of something with her schedule. All I can say is that I would like more Claudia scenes please.
